The K20A engine, found in the 04-08 Honda Accord, 02-06 Acura Integra and 02-05 Honda Civic Si, is a part of Honda’s K-series of engines. They’re four-cylinder, four-stroke engines that were initially introduced in 2001. They use roller rockers to reduce friction and have DOHC valvetrains. The engines have a distributorless ignition system where each spark plug has a coil. There’s a computer controlled system instead of the conventional, distributor-based ignition system, which lets the ECU control the timings of the ignition. There are two variants of the K-series engines, and both of them have two short blocks with the same design, but a different deck height. The K20A makes use of the shorter block with a 212mm deck height.

The K20A is a DOHC i-VTEC engine with either 155 or 158 horsepower, dependeing on the vehicle. The redline is at 6800 RPM, and as the name suggests, you have a 2.0L engine. If you’re looking for a K20A engine for sale, they were only found in Japanese models, which tend to be a bit higher quality.
