Honda’s B-series engines, sold together with the D-series (SOHC variant), is a family of DOHC inline-four engines initially introduced in 1988. The B-series were the performance brethren of the D series, with dual overhead cams and an optional VTEC system. The B-series, especially the B20B shouldn’t be confused with the earlier B20A engine. Even though they have some common design elements and both are multivalve four-cylinder engines, they’re so different in architecture one may even consider them different families.

The B20B is a non-VTEC variant, one that has a 2.0L displacement and anywhere from 126 to 150 horsepower, depending on the application. People who are looking for a B20B engine for sale should get one for their exact model, as there are a few variations that have different power outputs and other specs.
